Coming from a London-Irish family, Jamie has been surrounded by music since childhood. He learned so many songs, not just Irish but also from music hall tradition. When performing celtic music, he brings many songs from the family repertoire and adds to them the many he has learned over the years from friends and other musicians.

He performs solo as a singer-guitarist and is often accompanied by Henry Koretzky (mandolin, mandocello, guitar and vocals). He regularly appears on the East Coast with his band, the Launies, a group he formed in 1997.

Dan Possumato is a traditional Irish accordion player and Jamie usually accompanies him on guitar and adding songs. The duo has played on both the East and West Coasts and has toured Canada a number of times.
